Atkins crazy!

My MIL is constantly going on about the Atkins diet, and about how carbs are the cause of all weight gain, no matter what.  When we were living at their house, often when she would see me eat a baked potato, or some pasta/bread or something, she would give me the lecture.................the thing is I really don't think I'm overweight, like everyone else I would love to lose a few pounds if it was easy, but I am quite busy and do not have the time to obsess about it.  I think I am fine as I am, (it sounds like I'm contradicting myself, but really I'm not!!:)).  My MIL should look at herself first I think, she is diabetic, yet still eats loads of chocolates and candies day by day!!..........maybe she should focus on what is important for her instead of criticising me!!!

RE: Atkins crazy!

Your MIL probably just wishes she could be as happy and content with her body image, as you are with yours....Enjoy the carbs (lol)

Cool RE: Atkins crazy!

Thanx for your support, kc2, i guess so, but even so, sometimes it's just like, 'mind your own business', you know?  If I want to eat carbs (which I think you need in your diet anyways, then it is my right to eat them, without being disturbed by this stupid high protein diet (which some have theorised and researched,  has been linked with being bad for one's heart), anyways, they have gone on a cruise for 1 month and I am allowed to go over there and watch the world cup matches on cable, (one good thing they do for me, I must admit), YAY!!!Icon_smileIcon_coolIcon_smile
