RE: Christmas HELP!

Its crunch time and I am freaking out.
DH painted some rooms of the house for me for Christmas (I wanted paint but he did the labor too :o) )
IL's came by to "see the house" for the billionth time last night; I had maybe 15 minutes notice; the house was torn apart, boxes and trash everywhere from wrapping presents, one of my dogs had gotten bored and eaten a toy which was now all over the living room floor! I wasn't happy, then I had to tell them to take their shoes off... again and then they went through my bedroom....
That's one thing I just don't understand; its MY BEDROOM! Hello! Private space!!! Then MIL started complaining about me hanging my wedding portrait in there where "no one can see it" apparently my bedroom is a free for all b/c they take people in there to see it anyway. I told her I thought a long time about where I wanted to put it and thats where I wanted it... end of discussion.
I'm starting to stress.... Now I am supposed to have "christmas breakfast" Saturday morning w/ dh family, "Christmas dinner" on Saturday night w/ dh family and Christmas breakfast on Christmas morning w/ dh family and then get to see my parents.....
STUPID HOLIDAY DOMINATORS!!!!!
We found out SIL is moving out of her house on Saturday too and we are "supposed to help" or something... not me; not my problem, I would like to see my family at some point this weekend and also get my house cleaned up from the hectic past week so it doesn't look like a huricane hit it when we host the breakfast we were told we were having.

RE: Christmas HELP!

I feel so sorry for you right now.....I'm lucky that we are telling my ILs no xmas due to the recent events.

Your bedroom is your private space and they shouldn't be in there.

If I was you I would pack a bag, go to a hotel and let them find a locked door when they show up. Go see your parents and then stop by IL toward the end of the holidays

RE: Christmas HELP!

Go to your family and leave DH with IL at your house? I could never, espically if I knew they might go through my things.

OMG do it.  How funny would that be? They would learn for sure.

That makes me think so something someone told me I should have said to MIL. I was telling a friend that my MIL was asking me all these questions about chair sashes I got for the wedding, one being what am I going to do with them after - she said I should have told her I planned to tie her son to the bed with them.......
