Help need advice

alright so you know that i have been doing to competition thing right and i have lost 9 1/2 lbs. This past week i have increased my water intake (I never really drank water before) and have uped my activity level... but i seemed to have gained about 2lbs! I have been very stricted on this diet and have not faultered once! I am very disaplined. so why the hell am i gaining. I have uped my activity because where i had only lost a 1/2 lb last week I felt it was nessery and now i have gained a two lbs. Is this normal? I figured it was a matter of science. 3500 cal = 1lb of human fat. cut back on calories and burn more than you take in a volia you loss weight right...? Well i guess i have just broke the "laws" of physics this week! anybody dieting and have this crap happen to them. if so can you explain what the heck is going on?

you never know which direction SHE is coming from so keep up your defence!

Your body is just getting used to the water. A liter of water weighs about two pounds. Your body will eventually get rid of it if it needs to . Water is good for you because it helps flush out the fat and toxins in your body. so dont stop the water.

This happens to me alot when I diet!  Between water changes and hormonal changes, each week can vary back and forth.  Hang in there, you can do it!

I  wish i could stick on a diet and get on with it.
I haven't managed to diet and keep eating lately from stress.
I can't even go to the 'toilet' and feel bloated like a baloon.

If i expload, wish it would be on my MIL's face

RE: Help need advice

i tried a shakes no carb diet, but it was just depressing. i have just started eating really well, and made exercing fun and mix it. i do weights on wednesdays, aerobics on tuesdays, swimming on saturdays and a mixture on thursdays/mondays.
i think diets can be really effective but permanent healthy eating is 10 times better and you dont have to worry about getting off it.
some times its a good idea to start an eating plan- like weight watches- and after a while you can have taught yourself a new way of eating.
while i lost 10 kgs on a shakes diet, i feeling healthy living is the way to go,

RE: Help need advice

tips to help loose weight
drink 2 litres of water
do 2 x 30mins walking sessions a day 7 x a week
eat 4 meals at least 2.5 hours apart and do not snack between
also only eat small portions- you shouldnt eat until your full
mix around what you eat, as your body gets use to it and just adapts
i have mainly carb days, mainly protein days, all salad/veg days, or fruit days
there are training programs on the net that make eating plans for weight loss- based on metabolism and weight loss hormones- interesting stuff

RE: Help need advice

the hard part is the 2 x 30 mins/day part ;)   Who has time for that in the real world with kids, job, etc? But the other ideas are helpful! :)
