How long will fresh fudge keep?

I make home made fudge every now and again for parties and get togethers, and I've never faced the issue of it going bad because its never sat around long enough, it usually disappears pretty quickly, however I have some free time and wanted to get my fudge made for Sunday.  I know that short amount of time isnt enough for it to 'go bad', but whats the best way to keep it freshest?  Do I refrigerate it or keep it out, but covered?

Well, if you want it to last you have to hide it first.  I wrap it in wax paper and then put it in an airtight tin. I hid a tin at christmas once and found it a month later. It was still good.
