Mine doesn't come over...remember I'm living in a den of sin because we're not married yet.  It's actually kinda convenient.

RE: Last time you saw MIL?

I live in my MIL's apt. and it's on her land. She stays in her own house were she belongs for now. Hubby is back from Iraq and out of the Army. So the last time I saw her was when she stuck her head in the apt. about a month in a half ago. She said Hi and I acted like I was reading a book I think I mumbled some thing to her.  The last time I heard her voice was a month ago when she called to see if I wanted her to pick up hubby from work and I told her I didn't know what time he got off work (LYING) to her and said he calls me when he needs me to come and get him. I'm trying to be as crafty as she is when I have to talk to her. (I have learned you have to be very quick to get out of seeing her:)

RE: Last time you saw MIL?

how awful is that- this will be my first xmas as a married person. and i too am getting stabbed in the back every chance she gets but she still asks us over for dinner- and ur prob right it prob is amunition...theres only 35 days till we get married so hoping we can loose contact- as much as poss- just got money for the wedding from them- but thats not going to fix what theyhave done to us...and they still dont support us when other ppl in there family stir shit....
i serisouly dont think they understand what they have done - but we still visit all the other members of the family- cousins- so she cant say we arent part of the family- its just we have chosen to not include her in what we call our family.

RE: Last time you saw MIL?

omg last christmas which was my first one being married, we spent that month with his family. It was hell!!! absolute hell!!! I was back stabbed at every angle, tortured anyway they could, even got kicked out with hubby decided he wasnt taking it anymore. We vowed to never spend another holiday with them again. Although we tried to play nice for 9 months after that it just continued to get worse. Now we dont even bother. We dont consider most of them family either, we never let our guard down, and we will never trust them or like them for what they did. Oh yea they wont ever understand the damage they caused. This will be our 2nd christmas and we are spending it with my family.
best of luck, trust no one-that was my mistake, and try to keep to yourselves.

RE: Last time you saw MIL?

2005, which was when I was last in Australia.  Funny enough, I have a story about seeing her again that I'll post now, since it just happened...

RE: Last time you saw MIL?

Last night at 11:30, she went out of town and came back last night. She got to the airprt at 11 and called my house to ask if she could come pick up her dog we were watching. I didnt pick up DH's cel hoping she would get the message but then she called the house phone. If I let it ring it would wake up the kids who need to get up early for school. I picked it up sounding tired because I was and was getting into bed.  I had talked to SIL earlier who was picking up MIL and told her to wait till Wendsday so everyone would be rested. OMG, even the dog was asleep! But I let her come so I really cant complain too much. But 11:30 pm come on!!

RE: Last time you saw MIL?

It was late August on a Saturday this year. FH and I went down for dinner with MIL and FIL

(because the 2 SIL that still live at home were gone for the weekend and MIL and FIL can't seem to be alone with each other) (they had called us the Friday wanting us to come to dinner too)

RE: Last time you saw MIL?

Have not seen nor heard from mine since step daughters graduation party in Sept07....before that it had been at least a year and before that probally at least 2 years...I have not been in her home at one time for 41/2 years. this witch only lives 20 miles away...still too close. My husband has had aenough of her and her toxic behavior....she is of course a martyr. Can't call my husband at xmas...everyone is supposed to kiss her ass...I hope the next time I see her is in a casket...oh wait I am not going!! I will have the final satisfaction of having the last snub!!
