I am the Loud mouth who stands up for my beliefs.. No problem with confrontations and telling people (MIL!) what I think about them ;)...
And jolly good for you too!
One particular website tells me that my type is well matched with ISTP, or the INTP. .. If you are interested in looking up yours, the link is: http://www.personalitypage.com
Ah, that's very handy, thanks for the link!

Trust me to be such a twit! DOH!
I had actually found that site earlier, it gives you great descriptions of the various types.
I had Googled the individual types and was directed to the page. I was looking for something that shows type compatbility.

I found this quote about INJFs quite interesting and fitting!
After that, the INFJ may have friends represented from any of the personality types. They are usually extremely intuitive individuals, who will have no patience for anyone they feel is dishonest or corrupt. They'll have no interest in being around these kinds of people.
Hmmmm!

I HATE ESTJ males. They are proud peacocks strutting their administrative "stuff". But, I have several female ESTJ friends- and for the reasons Erin posted- they are so honest, and where as the male ESTJ puts all his "strut" into business- his income, his wifes looks, etc- the ESTJ female puts all of her "strut" into family. They are very moral, and honest! My ESTJ female friend totally cracks me up though. She will say "Thats IT. I am done with _____. I am tired of their acting like ____. I am too old for this!" Then a week later she will mention them and shes friendly. I will say "what happened?" "Oh, I was just letting off steam".
Well, Erin, we can count on you to "call us out" if we get to fluffy. LOL

Hahah...
Well, Erin, we can count on you to "call us out" if we get to fluffy. LOL
My FH replied to your comment "ABSOLUTLEY!"... He is an ENFJ.... so he is a feeler and I am a thinker (which does cause some struggles)... the one character trait that we both agreed was "flawed" in describing me, is that I am able to see/feel other people's emotions and see "all sides" of situations... SO, although I am a "no fluff" kinda gal, I am thankfully able to see "all sides" and empathize with most what most people are feeling with regards to their situation.... I do have very, very, very little patience for people who seem frivolous, or who are control freaks and who are self centered.... So, I have a very HARD TIME with these MILs...
I am HAPPY for people when good things happen for them... and when they are happy with their lives/jobs/partners.. these MILs don't seem to have that ability and I can't understand that, no matter HOW much I TRY to empathize... So, there, my ENFJ side DOES come out...

Side Note: I took the Jung (similar to MB)... and I came out ENFJ... which COULD explain why I am not as "my way or the highway" as your typical ESTJ... ;).. I do tend to lean more towards MB Test and it's results... but I must be on the border with sensing/intuitive and thinking/feeling...

Have you read eNtj??? Try that. I suspect ENTJ might be a good fit for you. It would explain how you are able to empathize. ENTJ's are very intuitive. I don't know any female ENTJ's...
My father is an ENFJ. So is my best friends husband. My best friends husband has a very nasty mil. Her husband screens his calls, avoids her at all costs- but makes sure to be there - at the minimum- for all her special days. One thing he does drives me infp best friend CRAZY. As bad as her mil is, her ENFJ husband "humors" her. He almost thinks his mom is humorous. He will totally allow her to bully her both, then just not answer his phone for weeks on end when his mom calls. He handles her "on his terms". And although he knows full well his mom is in the wrong, he will NEVER validate his wife by expressing it. Neither would my father. Both of them handle conflict in a way that causes them the least amount of pain. Her validation has to be that he tells HER (my BF) that he knows his mom is wrong and she is in the right.

My head is getting dizzy by all those letters! LOL! Actually, I did similar testing years ago, but I won't bore people with what I came up with
My MIL can be summed up in just 5 letters, that happen to make a word that rhymes with witch.
