Exclamation The holidays are here!

How did Thanksgiving go for everyone?
We went from the mandatory 4 we were trying to avoid (2 of them)
to not having a single one....
DH went to the ER TWICE! Then bed rest for the rest of the weekend... He's okay though just not supposed to have any stress...
Easier said then done. MIL claimed I was trying to replace her or some nonsense when dh and I didn't tell her we were at the hospital 1st time (we were over 2 hours from home; what was the point; I barely made it there myself b/c of the traffic) and said she was "getting 2nd hand news" (whatever I'm his wife I'm supposed to be #1)
so the 2nd trip dh called and said we were back in the ER....
She showed up and freaked him out even more than he already was!
Then GMIL kept calling and if IL's weren't w/ us they were calling....
They were stressing me and dh both out.
Now onto Christmas and getting ready for that! I told dh no way no how I am running all over the place and staying out half the night just to have to get up early and go to work the next day.... we'll see.
I may win this one just based on the stress factor :o)

RE: The holidays are here!

Being Canadian our thanksgiving was back in Oct. It was smooth because we only had my family. MIL prob had a crappy time because she didn't get to see her son. So far Christmas will be easy too, spending cday and boxday with my family - this will be MIL's first christmas that she won't have him there

RE: The holidays are here!

In all honesty I don't mind seeing MIL and my parents on Christmas; I just want to rule out the other 4 or 5 stops to dh extended family and be out until all hours...
its just too much for 1 day especially since we don't live as close anymore.
