Does anyone in here crochet'? I've made all sorts of different things with yarn and a crochet' needle. I made a nice scarf for my FMIL when I met her around Christmas time and I think it's funny because she's not very good at crafts- according to Sean. My mom has taught me to crochet' since I was 4 years old! A point for me!
Ill have to look in to Crochet. I tried to pick up knitting but there wasnt as much "instant gratification" as there is in embroidery.
I crochet. I am taking on a new adventure. I bought sheep. And have learned to shear them. I have learned how to clean the wool and card it.I havent actually spun it yet because I havent bought the spinning wheel, but I am planning on it. I am really excited about crocheting finally with my own home made yarn.
Oh Jeanine!!!! That is sooo cool. Im waaayy jealous. The craft website I go on has a lot of people who do that and the results are amazing. Please please post pics of when you start the process. Id love to see them. Umm..I have the coolest people on my site.
That is totally awesome. I should convince my parents to raise sheep on their farm. I bet my mom would love to do that. I absolutely love to crochet'. I tried teaching my fiance' just how to do a chain and single crochet' and he was having problems with just that! LOL!
lol. give him an A just for trying.
well. you can kiss the sheep goodbye. They left today in anticipation of our move. I bottle fed them all from babies. They were lepies ( a triplet momma didnt have milk anough for. )and I had them all from birth. They followed me around like puppy dogs.  sigh.
Jeanine You are giving up ALOT. She better be nice to you once you get back to maine.
I gave the sheep to the neighbors, They broke down the fence and came home for a little visit. Funny things.
I hope you can get some more sheep once you're here - I know plenty of people in the area who raise sheep :)   I wanna come learn about them!!  I can crochet (a little), knit (a little), sew & quilt (a bit) and other crafts. Basically I love working with my hands, it's very relaxing! For my wedding reception, I'm making bookmarks commemorating the day and am making all the tassles myself out of embroidery thread and then printing off all the bookmarks and assembling them :)
