RE: i hate her omg.

I will never, ever, ever, ever live anywhere near my evil, conniving, manipulative, egotistical, hypocritical, self absorbed inlaws.  My FH is dreaming if he thinks it will ever happen.  He can move closer to them all he wants...I'll wait for the postcards and the checks to come in the mail, because my sanity is more important than the chaos that those mo fo's bring into the equation.  Having said that....stay strong, girl.  Keep a healthy distance, and remember...when it comes to your daughter, you are still the mom.  It is ok to tell children what is appropriate behavior and what is not, no matter what gma and papa say!

p.s I don't hate my inlaws, but let's just say the dislike factor is on maximum.

RE: i hate her omg.

OMG, the biggest mistake I made when we bought our house was that I didn't insist we move further away from MIL.  Even an hour away would've been great.

My MIL made sure we HAD to use an RE agent of HER choosing and we unknowingly let this friend RE agent of MIL's cow us into buying a house that's 15 minutes away from her.  We should've moved to the other end of the city -- she wouldn't want to drive through downtown traffic (she never wants to leave the neighborhood) to visit.

Hindsight's always 20/20, ain't it?

RE: i hate her omg.

Hang in there! We moved over 30 min from my Inlaws and I think they visit MORE than when we lived just a few minutes away....
but think; if you lived hours or cross country; when they visited the would be around for DAYS at a time! OMG I would fall out!
i think 2 hours or maybe 3 would suffice; long enough for less visits but close enough not to stay overnight :o)
You're the mom; put your foot down and take charge..... don't let MIL take charge of dd.....
