today is my first "weight in"

tonight is this first weight in for the little family diet that me and the inlaws are on. well we are not all on the same diet but we all are dieting together. and are in a  commitition for $600 big ones. I an acually excited to get wieghed for hte first time in my life! NO im am of corse not at my goal wieght but i have been really strick on my diet and exercising. in the am the scale said that i lost 5lbs total but at night it says 3lbs. either way i lost so i am happy. i would acually rather the 3lbs as strange as that seems because to lose slow is better and you are more likely to keep the wight off. I have 11 more weeks of this (i will continue to eat healthy and excersize after of corse) but i really think i can do it! I am on a diet that is sooooo easy to go by and well i will keep you all posted on how much the scale says when i get bakc from wighing in.

What diet are you on that is so easy?!  Share!  I've had success doing low carb, but it tends to be harder for me to stick to for long periods of time, especially on vacations and holidays!

I excercise! that is a new one for me. Also i cut down on my calories to 1000 cal a day. i dont count the cals in veggies or fruit. But everything else. I eat 5 times a day. breakfast snack lunch snack and dinner. Ill eat cereal with banana or a begal with low fat cream cheese or toast with banana but up on it for breakfast. Ill have an apple or rice cakes for snacks tuna or CRISPY chicken salad for lunch and i get inventive for dinner. just healthy eating. I will post how much i lost this past week tonight when i get home.

RE: today is my first "weight in"

I lost 3lbs down to the ounce over the past week. I am going to step up my excercise a bit more this week and make sure that i stay strick with my eating on the week ends. I didnt eat bad this weekend but I didnt follow my breakfast snack lunch snack dinner schedul either so i will make sure that next week end I do. there is going to be a cook out at mils for labor day and thats were we will do the next weight in. I am going to make sure that i bring really heathy foods that way i wont be so tempted to eat the junk that everyone brings. if anyone has any good suggestions please share. ps mil lost 1lb over the week.

A veggie platter with low-cal ranch dip would be good! A good friend of mine brought tuna salad, but instead of Mayo, she used low-cal italian dressing and added chopped cucumbers, tomatos and peppers to it.  It sounds gross, but I swear it was yummy, and good for you!  If you put a bit of that tuna salad in a low-carb pita wrap, it would make a nice little sandwich!
